We have invested some of our Sports Premium funding towards purchasing a new P.E. programme called ‘Real P.E.

In 2021-22 it will be our third year and we are loving the REAL PE scheme!
We will be introducing Real leaders for the year 5 children to lead games/activities at dinner time and Real Play for our families at home this year!

The real PE programme provides fun and simpleguidance to support  Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 practitioners in delivering P.E. It is fully aligned to the National Curriculum and Ofsted requirements and focuses on the development of agility, balance and coordination, healthy competition and cooperative learning through a unique approach to teaching and learning in PE.

When it is your child’s PE day, your child is to come in their PE kit as this allows teachers and children to enjoy a full 45-60 minutes of learning.

Our PE policy states PE kit is the following: a white top, black or navy bottoms, outdoor shoes/plimsolls and a plain jumper/jacket (your child could wear their school jumper). Please be mindful that we are trying to keep the PE kit as plain as possible.

We know active, healthy children achieve more. At school, we have created an enabling environment where EVERY child feels included, valued, challenged and supported to achieve their maximum potential in PE, school and life.
Your child participates in real PE lessons to develop their Fundamental Movement Skills and important life skills such as personal, social, cognitive and creative skills. Our school also has home learning support through real PE at home where children can continue to be active through fun games and activities on their own and also with a sibling, parent, guardian or other family member.

Sports Day 2021

Sports day looked a little different this year, as we all completed our races in our bubbles.
KS1 had the luckiest day with glorious sunshine, whilst KS2 had to dodge the rain.
A massive well done to all children!
