Our Pledges are a set of activities that we encourage all students to complete during their time at North Wingfield Primary and Nursery Academy.
The aim of our pledges is to broaden experiences, extend opportunities and raise the aspirations of our young people. The pledges link to our school values: Perseverance, Resilience, Independence, Distractions and Explain your Learning (PRIDE)
We have four sets of Pledges within our school: Nursery, Reception, KS1 and KS2.
The children in Nursery and Reception are to complete as many as they can during their time in EYFS. Children in KS1 are asked to complete a minimum of 2 pledges out of each area per year. In KS2 children need to complete a minimum of 1 pledge out of each area per year.
Gold Awards can also be complete throughout their time at school
Your child will come home with the pledges linked to the Year Group they are in. When your child has completed one of the pledges, you will need to send in evidence and we will then date and put a sticker on their Pledge Mat.
Certificates will be given out at the end of each term.
