Welcome to Year 4/5!

Teacher: Mrs Gent & Miss Shepherd
Teaching Assistant: Miss Gaunt & Miss Davies

School Council Members: TBC

Multiplications:
In maths lessons we will regularly refer to the times tables - within our starter, main activities, games and much more across the curriculum, however it is important to learn them at home too! The children have access to Times Tables Rock Stars - which should be completed weekly for this homework.

In Year 4, children are expected to complete a Multiplication Tables Check (MTC). Here is an information video for you to watch: https://youtu.be/GhAJMJUsAac

Reading: Children will be encouraged to read at home, three times a week to an adult. This year it is going to be recorded on Class Dojo, on your child's portfolio. Please fell free to just add a post noting how many pages your child has read or even a quick and easy video of them reading.

Spellings: Every week children will be given spellings to learn on spelling shed. On a daily basis, children will have the opportunity to practise their spellings, however it is important that children are practising their spellings at home as well.

PE will be on a Monday and a Friday.
On these days your child needs to wear their PE kit to school. Our PE policy states PE kit is the following: a white top, black or navy bottoms, outdoor shoes/plimsolls and a plain jumper/jacket (your child could wear their school jumper). Please be mindful that we are trying to keep the PE kit as plain as possible.

Wherever possible, PE lessons need to be outdoors for safety reasons.

If you have any questions, we are here to help either drop in or message us on Class Dojo.
